Wow...... who knew that quitting smoking could be so easy. When I say I wish I met Joanne earlier, I mean much earlier. I was a pack a day smoker for over 27 years.
Now I can happily say, "I am a healthy non-smoker". I feel great, I have more energy and I am no longer controlled by my senseless smoking habit. I feel free!
Thank you Joanne!
I am recommending you to every smoker I know.

Imagine being one month away from turning 40 and never having eaten a piece of pizza or cooked vegetables.
This is my story. From a young age, I was considered fussy, then one day I decided it was time that I learned to eat, if not for my own health then to stop my daughter from following in my footsteps which she was clearly doing. I would cook up a storm but never taste test what I made. I would serve meals to my family but keep myself busy in the kitchen while they ate so they did not notice I wasn't eating with them.
My mother says that from my days in a highchair, it was always difficult to get me to eat. I did not like most meals served and was never interested in trying new foods - my reasoning was based either on the colour, texture or smell. I would not eat anything remotely related to tomatoes (that means no ketchup, pizza, spaghetti with sauce, lasagna etc... I could not handle anything spicy (and that meant anything that even had just pepper on it) I would not eat any fish products, Italian, chinese, japanese, mexican, lebanese, thai, and the list goes on.
It was easier for me to list the items that I did eat as there wasn't all that much. Although I did love to eat a wide variety of fruit, I basically lived off of plain hamburgs, hotdogs with just mustard, kraft dinner (was my pasta) peanut butter, toast & tea, salty stuff like bacon & eggs, and my main meats were chicken and ham. I repeated what I ate often as I had little to choose from. Oh and I did LOVE to eat junk but even then I had to have "plain chips" and chocolate bars without nuts.
So I finally picked up the phone and called to book my first hypnosis appointment. I spent some time speaking with Joanne before actually coming in so that I understood what to expect. I was told that it could take several sessions.
Well after my first session, I tried 3 new foods. After my second, I tried about another 15 things and by my third, I had a page full of items that I was finally willing to try eating. This did not guarantee that I would like what I was trying but that I'd at least get things passed my lips. After 5 or 6 sessions, I was soon eating vegetables both raw and cooked, various meats, salads with dressing, I no longer avoid trying new foods and look forward to eating meals with my family. Hypnosis changed me forever, and for that I am eternally grateful. It was so worth it!
Thanks Joanne!

My daughter was 6 1/2 and still went to bed with diapers on. Although she had been using the toilet for over 2 years during the day and never had an accident, she would never wake at night to get up and use the facilities, instead, she would wake up with a very full diaper.
We tried many things (including bribery) but nothing worked and we became more and more frustrated. Was she just too lazy to get up at night? Did she not sense a full bladder? We researched and looked for answers but there were none and regular physicians said to wait, there was still time.
As opportunities for sleepovers came and went, and our continued efforts failed, we decided to try hypnosis, after all it worked for me. Within less than a month (maybe 6-7 sessions) our problems were solved. She has had 2 accidents now in total since the day she had her first visit and that was over 2 1/2 years ago.
Trouble sleeping at night? I'm fine when my husband is home but when he's out of town and I'm left alone - I'm a mess. Growing up, I lived with my parents and then I moved out once I was married. In all, I spent a total of 4 nights alone in a house at night.
So as my husband travelled, I would call in recruits to stay with me, when that wasn't an option, I would stay up as late as I could, watch TV, drink beer, whatever it took to relax. Then before turning off the lights, I would lower the volume on my TV but leave it on for the light, pre-dial my phone to 911 and lay it down beside me, hug a pillow all while facing the direction of the door to my bedroom. I always managed to fall asleep but would wake frequently throughout the night having heard a noise in the house, at which point I has to start all over again, it would take me a long time to get back to sleep again.
In August of 2007 I realized that my husband would be away for the better part of the month of September and I could not face the numerous nights of sleep deprivation and settling into the back to school routine with my kids all at once. It was too much so I called up Joanne. We met four times and I had no idea if our sessions would work as my husband was home with me every night that I attended my sessions.
The finally day arrived and off to Europe he flew. I couldn't believe it, I DID IT!! It was the first time I ever slept through the night with him not there beside me. The next night I did wake to use the washroom but was able to fall asleep right away. As the nights passed, I grew more confident and by the end of his trips away that month I felt more capable than ever!
What a great feeling!
